Coronvirus Updates

WE ARE MEETING FOR SUNDAY SERVICE AT 10am!
(Face-coverings required for those over 10 years old, unless you have a medical exception)

Dear Family,

We have some great news! We have reopened the church for Sunday services!

This is a very unique circumstance in which we find ourselves. Not since the Spanish Flu pandemic of the early 1900’s have we quarantined our nation. This has been a trying time, but a time of great opportunity for this church to be the Church! We have continued to pray, continued to worship, and continued to serve our community!

With that being said, we want you to feel secure about coming on Sunday so the leadership has put these guidelines in place to help you decide whether you want to physically attend services or continue to watch them online, at home.

If you are symptomatic (fever, cough, chest congestion, etc.), please stay home and take care of yourself. We want you to be safe and healthy. We will continue to stream our services online. CDs of the sermon are always available via request to secretary@newhopevineyard.org.

Face-Coverings – Due to a mandate by the Governor, we will require masks for anyone over 10 years old unless you have a medical exemption.

Cleaning – We have completely cleaned and disinfected the entire church building using anti-bacterial, anti-viral products designed specifically for health services.

Touch surfaces – we will have exterior doors open so they won’t need to be handled while entering and exiting the building. There will be no bulletins printed (no touch needed). If you like to take notes, bring a notebook/journal with you.

Distancing – We would ask that everyone keep a proper distance of 6 feet while in the building. This will be difficult, because have missed seeing each other. This will be especially tough for our little ones, so we’re asking parents to be extra vigilant – hold on to those kiddos! Try not to congregate in public areas.

Seating – Please keep “distancing” in mind when selecting your seat on Sunday morning. We have removed every-other row in the sanctuary to help with this. Of course, people in the same household may sit together. There is also an overflow section set up in the Gathering Place for additional seating.

Hand sanitizer – There are hand sanitizer stations throughout the church for your convenience.

Drinks – Coffee and water will not be served on Sundays for a while. This will help us prevent “touch/contact issues”. If you like to have a drink during church, please bring your own from home.

Kids’ Church – VKC is open and social distancing protocols are in place. Your child will be dismissed after the praise worship time in the sanctuary to enjoy Kids’ Church once again!

The leadership has worked prayerfully and diligently to put these guidelines in place so that everyone, no matter their ideals or convictions, feel some level of security while worshiping at New Hope Vineyard Church. We have considered state recommendations as well as guidance from the Vineyard and Citizens for Community Values in making our decisions. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this most unusual time.
